Angela D. (De Santis) Hill, M.D.

January 14, 1939 ~ April 1, 2018 (age 79)

Angela De Santis Hill, M.D., left this earth to join the church Triumphant on Sunday, April 1, 2018.

Mrs. Hill was the daughter of the late Martin and Mary De Santis of Hartford, Connecticut.

She graduated valedictorian of William Hall High School in West Hartford, Conn, was awarded a two year scholarship at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts and graduated with a B.S. degree in Pre Med. She attended Medical school and graduated from Medical College Of Pennsylvania with a medical degree .She took a one year rotating internship, followed by a 4 year residency in Psychiatry. After board certification she specialized in general and child Psychiatry.

On June 12, 1965 she married Donald L. Hill who passed away on September 27th, 2009. Both she and Don were actively involved in the boating community (both sail and power).She was a Coxswain in the Coast Guard Auxiliary and was a certified scuba diver. She also could be found on the waterway in her kayak. Dr. Hill is preceded by her husband of 44 years Donald L. Hill.

She is survived by a brother Louis De Santis and his wife Beverly De Santis of Stafford Springs, CT. She is also survived by her constant companion and partner Ronald Schaake and his loving family.

She has a daughter, Carolyn Ann Hill Bjerke and her husband Wayne who reside in Weston, CT with their three children, Paige Elizabeth, Phoebe Alexandra, Dante Ace Vonn Bjerke. She also survived by a son Robert Brian Hill and his wife Michelle of Rockville, Maryland and their four children, Leena Eshack, Layla Eshack, Hayden Brian and Rylie Elaine Hill.

She was a member of the Woman's Club of Cambridge and was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 205 Maryland Avenue, Cambridge.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 3 PM at St Paul's United Methodist Church, Cambridge, Md with Rev. Bonnie Shively and Rev. Fred Bahr officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers and gifts, Angela has requested donations be made in Her name to the Youth Group of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 205 Maryland Ave., Cambridge , MD. 21613.
