Robert E. Hubbard, Sr.June 25, 1949 ~ September 19, 2017 (age 68)
Robert E. Hubbard, Sr., 68, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Union Hospital in Elkton, MD. He was born in Cambridge on June 25, 1949 and was a son of the late Margaret Beatrice Hill Coates and Robert M. Hubbard.
Mr. Hubbard graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1968. He served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and finished in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Hubbard worked at Cambridge Wire Cloth for 15 years and later he worked and retired from the Cambridge VA Clinic. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, watching the Maryland Terps, Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. He was a lifetime member at Choptank Memorial Post 7460 VFW, where he served as a Quarter Master, American Legion Post 91, Cambridge Moose Lodge and Cambridge Jaycees.
He is survived by a son Robert Hubbard, Jr. of Cambridge and a daughter Robin Bell and husband Danny Bell, Jr. of East New Market, five grandchildren Karla Blake, Chloe Bell, Coen Bell, Coral Bell and Casey Bell, three great grandchildren Raelynn Blake, Liam Blake and Jaxsun Blake, a sister Kitty Hughes and husband Sammy of Madison and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Hubbard is preceded in death by a brother John Marshall and a sister Penny Schnoor.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
