Kenneth "Kenny" P. Mason, Jr.

Kenneth “Kenny” P. Mason, Jr., 85, of Woolford passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on June 15, 1938 and was a son of the late Kenneth P. Mason and Louise Burton Willis.

Mr. Mason attended schools in Cambridge. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years. On August 22, 1959, he married he former Dorothy Buarque. He worked at Wire Cloth, Western Publishing and he owned Mason's Market in Church Creek. Mr. Mason enjoyed music where he could play most instruments, fishing, and enjoyed going to McDonalds with the morning crew. He was a member of American Legion Post 91, Marine Corp League, and attended White Haven Church, Open Bible, and Faith Baptist Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Mason of Woolford, a daughter Sherri Williams of Woolford, twin granddaughters Amanda Williams and Rachel Williams, a sister in law Cathy Weaver of Riva, MD, several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a lifetime friend William "Bill" Smith. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother in law Ronald Weaver.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11am at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Scott Conn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to a charity of choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
