Patricia Ann Moore, 71, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Mallard Bay Care Center with her loving family by her side. Pat was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2016 but it was cancer that ultimately took her life. She was born in Cambridge on February 27, 1947. Pat was the daughter of the late Delroy and Doris Barber Davis. She was very devoted to her parents, visiting or speaking with them each day and often traveling with them.
Pat graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1965. She had several jobs out of high school. She first worked at Leggett’s Department store, Rob Roy and at Airpax with 36 years of service starting in production and working her way up to a purchaser for the company. Besides being a hard worker at Airpax she was known for her sharp dress, long nails, and her many pairs of fancy high heel shoes. Although she spent much of her retirement years in the Fort Myers / Cape Coral area of Florida, she returned home to the Eastern Shore of Maryland several years ago to be closer to her family. Pat enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, gardening, dining out, looking for treasures in antique stores and flea markets, and visiting Pennsylvania Dutch Country. She also enjoyed reading a good mystery novel, watching her “stories” on television, working on word finds, sitting on the porch talking and bird watching, and eating anything sweet! Pat was full of life and will be most remembered for her outgoing personality. She will be greatly missed.
She leaves behind her daughter Sherry Travers and her husband Kevin of East New Market, two grandchildren Gabrielle Travers and Joshua Travers, and a niece Lonnie Brittingham of Fishing Creek. Besides her parents, Pat is preceded in death by a sister Bonnie Jean Brittingham and her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Baby.
Services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
