Aileen H. Bramble

Aileen H. Bramble, 95, of Salisbury formerly of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at Lakeside Assisted Living in Salisbury with family members by her side.  She was born in Cambridge on July 8, 1928 and was a daughter of the late Brice and Mae Wroten Harding.

 

Mrs. Bramble graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1945. On June 2, 1956 she married Wallace R. Bramble who passed away on December 30, 2008. She worked as a telephone operator for C&P Telephone Company until she retired in 1980 with 35 years of service. Mrs. Bramble enjoyed antiquing, decorating her home for every holiday and being with her friends and family. Ever the fashionable woman, her very favorite pastime was clothes shopping; she was known for her style, class and elegance. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

 

She is survived by her two sons Richard Bramble of Delmar, MD, and Mark Bramble of Salisbury, a granddaughter Gabrielle Bramble and a great granddaughter Shiloh Bowles of Deltona, Florida, a grandson Garrett Bramble of Salisbury, a special granddaughter Ashely LeGates (John), two special nieces and a nephew who were like own her own children and their families, Tammy Wielgosz (Pat), Sally Hastings (Jaye) and Sam Bennett (Lisa), a brother Thomas Harding of Pennsylvania and a special friend who was like a daughter in law Sherry Foster of Snow Hill, whose prayers and songs during the last two weeks lifted all. Her large extended family included the children of her nieces and nephew whom she considered her own grandchildren: Nicole Harrison (Kevin), Patrick Wielgosz (Elizabeth), David Wielgosz (Marie), Kyle Hastings (Gabby), Doris Hastings and Sara Bennett. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Bramble is preceded in death by two sisters Doris Bennett and husband David and Delores Bell and husband Robert.

 

Truly a kind and gentle soul, she made friends easily. She was very fond of all the new friends, both staff and residents, she made while living at Mallard Landing.

 

Pallbearers will be Garrett Bramble, Jaye Hastings, Kyle Hastings, Pat Wielgosz, Patrick Wielgosz and David Wielgosz.

 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11:30am at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Mr. J.T. North officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:30am to 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
