Annabelle C. Meredith, 90, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the home of her son and daughter in law, Jay and Susan Meredith along with her loving family by her side. She was born in Hoopersville on December 18, 1927 and was a daughter of the late Theodore R. Creighton, Sr. and Nettie Parks Creighton.
Ms. Annabelle graduated from Hoopers Island High School class of 1945. She was a homemaker and her passion in life was her family, cooking and the love of flowers. Ms. Annabelle was a mother and a friend to everyone she met.
She was married to John Meredith in 1948. She is survived by five children; Jacqueline Parks (Richard), Edward Meredith, John Meredith (Alta), James "Jay" Meredith (Susan) and Melissa Meredith (Adam), eight grandchildren Glen Parks (Hannah), Melody Saylor (Shane) Holly Campion (Steve), Jody LaGasse, J.T. Meredith (Katie), J. Wesley Meredith (Brooke), T. Matthew Meredith (Meghan), Kacey Knox (Karl), 14 great grandchildren, a brother Ted Creighton (Phyllis), and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Annabelle is preceded in death by a brother Jack.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and a great grandson Glen, Wes, Matt, J.T., Gavin and Karl.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 12 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. George W. Wheatley, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm and from 11 am to 12 pm the day of the service.
