Arline L. Chase

Arline L. Chase, 87, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at her home. She was born on February 27, 1938 in Cambridge to the late Arlington Hooper Adkins and Margaret Dix Adkins.

Mrs. Chase graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1956 and later attended Salisbury State College. On December 21, 1956, she married Roger W. Chase who passed away on October 7, 2020. Mrs. Chase had worked at the Cambridge Library, MAC Center, Pleasant Day Adult Day Center, and The Banner. She was an author where she wrote numerous books. Mrs. Chase was a member of the International Women's Writer's Guild.

Mrs. Chase is survived by a son Sidney Richard Chase (Kathy Walker) of Vienna, and several cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son Roger David Chase.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11 AM at East New Market Cemetery with Rev. Susan Leight officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Coastal Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury MD, 21802 or a charity of your choice. Services are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
