Barbara H. Elzey

Barbara H. Elzey, 84, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025 at The Pines in Easton. She was born in Cambridge on October 26, 1941 and was a daughter of the late Ernest and Louise Keplinger Hill.

Mrs. Elzey graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1959 and graduated from Eastern Shore Hospital Center in 1960 from the nursing program. On May 17, 1963 she married H. Clark Elzey, Jr. Mrs. Elzey worked for Drs. Alfred and Lawrence Maryanor for 13 years and retired from the Dorchester County Health Department in 2004 after 30 years of service and continuing to work part time until 2014. In her earlier years, she enjoyed riding with her husband on their motorcycle and enjoyed playing cards on Friday nights. Mrs. Elzey loved her family.

She is survived by her husband H. Clark Elzey, Jr., son Matthew C. Elzey and wife Tracy and a granddaughter Peyton Elzey. Besides her parents, Mrs. Elzey is preceded in death by a grandson Quincy Matthew Elzey and a sister Virginia H. Wagner.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Spedden United Methodist Church, 881 Hudson Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
