Bissoon Dat

Bissoon Dat, 86, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. He was born in Springlands, Guyana, South America and was a son of the late Chandrapal and Sumatie (Shanta Mai) Chandrapal.

Mr. Dat was a well known carpenter. He enjoyed playing bongos, listening to Hindu music, and cooking.

He is survived by his wife Chandrawattie (Cola) Bissoondat, five children Shanta Ludwick and husband Geoffrey of Cambridge, Sabo (Sevi) Bisoondat of Silver Spring, Devendra (Tona) Dat and wife Dato of Baltimore, Debbie Nolan and husband Rodney of Dallas, TX, Eyon Dat and wife Sonia of Silver Spring, six grandchildren Vishal, Dave, Ravi and wife Cristal, Jason, Nalynie, Naryan, and a great granddaughter Victoria, a sister Lilawati (Lelo) Parbhudial and a brother Karamchand (Karia) Chandrapaul and by various nieces, nephews and other family members.

Viewing will be held from 3pm-6pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 and a religious ceremony will be held at 9am Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge. Interment will be held at Dorchester Memorial Park at 11am Thursday, December 30, 2021.
