Carolyn G. (Gray) O'Connor

Carolyn Gray O’Connor, 75, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Vienna on June 8, 1942 and was a daughter of the late Joshua Clayton Gray and Sylvia Lewis Gray.

Mrs. O’Connor graduated from North Dorchester High School Class of 1960. She also graduated from Chesapeake College and received her AA Degree in Business in 1991. On February 3, 1963, she married Noel Thomas O'Connor. He passed away on August 26, 1998.  Mrs. O’Connor had a child care business and later worked at Airpax. She enjoyed reading and her church. Mrs. O’Connor was a member of St. Mary Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church in Cambridge and the Ladie's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 91.

She is survived by a son Michael Thomas O'Connor and wife Lori of Cambridge, a daughter Monica Link and husband Jim of Baltimore, 4 grandchildren Sean Patrick O’Connor, Aiden Matthew O’Connor, Meghan O'Connor and LJ Link, a great granddaughter Sophia O'Connor, a sister Suzanne Gray of East New Market, a niece Denise Travis of Harrisburg, PA and many other nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at 11 am at St. Mary Refuge Sinners Catholic Church with Father Bruce Byrolly officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A in Cambridge and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mallard Bay Care Center Activity Department, 520 Glenburn Ave., Cambridge, MD 21613.
