Catherine "Cathie" M. Bell Rippons

Catherine “Cathie” M. Bell Rippons, 63, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born in Cambridge on July 2, 1962 and was a daughter of Bonnie Moore Bell Christiani and the late Edward Wallace Bell.

Cathie graduated from North Dorchester High School Class of 1980. After high school, she attended Delmarva Beauty Academy in Salisbury and graduated in 1982. Cathie worked at Shear Sensations and later she would go to different homes to do hair or they would stop by at her home. She was married to Eldridge Rippons. Cathie enjoyed going to the beach, doing crafts and spending time with her family. In her younger years, she attended Madison Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband Eldridge Rippons of Easton, a son Jason Love of Cambridge, her mother Bonnie Moore Bell-Christiani and husband Earl of Carroll County, a sister Trisha B. Bryan and husband Ronnie of East New Market, three nephews Connor Spedden (Julie G.), Brooks Whitby and Brenton Bryan and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her father, Cathie is preceded in death by a sister Julie Bell Whitby.

Pallbearers will be Eldridge Rippons, Ronnie Bryan, Brenton Bryan, Connor Spedden, Robbie Whitby, and Kevin Marshall. Honorary pallbearers will be brooks Whitby and Doran Henry.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 1pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
