Clarence Julian Fitzhugh

Clarence Julian Fitzhugh, 78, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at his home. He was born on February 29, 1948 in Cambridge to the late Clarence E. Fitzhugh and Elizabeth Willey Fitzhugh.

Mr. Fitzhugh graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1966. On April 15, 1967, he married the former Anna “Ann” Windsor who passed away on February 13, 2020. Mr. Fitzhugh worked for Overnight Transportation with over 20 years of service and received numerous awards including an award for a million miles of accident free driving. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on the water. Mr. Fitzhugh was a Scout Master for Troop #128 in Cambridge.

Mr. Fitzhugh is survived by two sons CJ Fitzhugh, Jr. and wife Marybeth of Cambridge and Jamie Fitzhugh of Cambridge, a grandson Max Fitzhugh, and numerous family members and friends. Besides his parents and his wife, Mr. Fitzhugh is preceded in death by a brother Sewell E. Fitzhugh.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. at 11 AM with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park.
