It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the passing of my sister Danelle (Danielle) Bramble. Danelle touched all our lives and had a profound impact on so many people that we will feel this loss for a long time.
Danelle was born in Northern Kentucky on June 23, 1972 to William D. Bramble and Leona L. Bramble. She had one older brother, William D. Bramble Jr., and one younger, Glenn D. Bramble, who survive her. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as her two children, Sara and Joey.
As many of us know quite well, Danelle was a free spirit and wasn’t concerned about fitting in to anyone else’s ideas of who she should be. As an adult, Danelle gained a deep appreciation for education and returned to school to earn an associate’s degree from Wor-Wic Tech. After working on archaeological digs on the eastern shore, she then went further with her education at Salisbury State pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology.
Danelle worked several different jobs in her adult life, including waitressing and taxi driving. But regardless of the job, what she treasured most was combining her love of meeting new people with her interest in other cultures and languages. Once, when she was driving the taxi in Ocean City, she picked up an older, European couple that she quickly befriended while driving them to dinner. They invited her to join them for dinner, and she even ended up showing them around the town over the following days. Such abundant friendliness and generosity were what so many people instantly recognized in my sister. Indeed, it was her joyful openness, warmth, and her ability to bring happiness everywhere that characterized all her relationships with so many friends and family and even casual acquaintances.
From a very young age, Danelle was an artist, which showed itself in her last decades through her love of drawing and painting animals and images from nature. This pursuit allowed her to combine her artistry with her deep and abiding spirituality, as she was always proud of her Native American heritage and her connection with the local tribes. She also spent a great deal of her life in touch with nature as a Wiccan before joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And while we will all miss her, I take solace in knowing that my sister’s spirit resides with our mother and father.
A memorial service will be held for Danelle on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. Family will receive friends from 2 PM to 3 PM.
