Denise A. Lauck

Denise A. Lauck, 61, of Hurlock passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Hospice of the Chesapeake. She was born in Cambridge on December 3, 1963 to Theodore Abbott, Sr. and the late Julie Dail Simmons and step-father Howard “Butch” Simmons.

Mrs. Lauck graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 1981. She was a driving instructor for Bayside Driving School for 25 years. Mrs. Lauck enjoyed crafts, playing bingo, shopping and watching T.V. She was a member of the Nause-Waiwash Band of Indians and an honorary member of East New Market Volunteer Fire Company.

Mrs. Lauck is survived by her husband Dale Lauck of East New Market, a daughter Courtney Robinson and husband Scott of Federalsburg, a son Justin Lauck and wife Marilyn of Hurlock, her father Theodore R. Abbott, Sr. and wife Bonnie of Church Creek, a sister Donna Abbott of Cambridge, a half-brother TJ Abbott and wife Morgan of Church Creek and two bonus grandchildren Martin and Addley Stouffer.

Pallbearers will be Dale Lauck, Justin Lauck, Scott Robinson, Jerry Hughes, Steven Flowers and Patrick Wielgosz.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. at 11 AM with Pastor Jack Diehl officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery.
