Dr. Timothy D. Bohaker

Dr. Timothy D. Bohaker went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 11, 2025. He was 78 years old. Tim was born on July 18, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the Rev. Robert D. Bohaker and Nancy Bohaker. His family moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1947 where his father was an assistant rector at St. Paul’s Cathedral. Tim was an accomplished vocalist. He started singing in the Men and Boys Choir at St. Paul’s, first as a soprano, then as an alto. Throughout his life he sang in church choirs, praise teams, the Good News Chorale and the Dorchester Chorus. In 1962 Tim and his family moved to Oxford, MD where his father was rector at Old Trinity Episcopal Church. He spent many happy hours on the water, sailing and skiing. Tim graduated from Easton High School in 1964, from Washington College in Chestertown, MD, in 1968 and from the University of Maryland Dental School, Baltimore, MD, in 1972. After graduating from dental school, Tim joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany for 3 years. In 1975 he moved back to his beloved Eastern Shore to begin his dental practice in Cambridge, MD. He retired from Dentistry in 2017.

In 1980, Tim accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and served Him faithfully the rest of his life through various ministries and churches.

Tim married the former Donna Lynn Pope on March 6, 1976, and they were happily married for 49 blessed years.

Tim was an advanced skier and skied all over Europe. He became a private pilot in 2006, and he and Donna took many trips in their Cessna 150.

Tim is survived by his wife, Donna, 3 children – Dale Patterson of Killeen, TX, Kristen Willey of Cambridge (Joe) and Philip Bohaker of Justin, TX (Yvonne), 12 grandchildren – Edvin Patterson (Meagan), Signe Patterson (Juan), Ingrid Patterson (Tim), Alfons Patterson, Jack Willey, Gabe Willey, Nate Willey, Liam Willey, Silas Bohaker, Eliana Bohaker, Talia Bohaker, Josiah Bohaker, and 3 great grandchildren – Oliver, Elias and Atticus Patterson. He is also survived by a brother Herbert Bohaker of Easton and a sister Kathleen Wood of Greenville, SC and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Tim is preceded in death by two nieces Sheffield Wood and Rachel Niceley.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 1pm at Grace Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Pettit officiating. Family will receive friends from 11am to 1pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to One Mission Cambridge, P.O. Box 1495, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to Wounded Warriors Project, Donor Care Center, P.O. Box 758540, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8540. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
