Edward Roy Pridgen, 73, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026. He was born on July 28, 1952 in Cambridge and was a son of the late Edward L. Pridgen and Etta Brooks Pridgen.
He graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1970. On August 19, 1979, he married the former Christine Christopher. Ed worked for Tidewater Coffee, Inn at Perry Cabin and Chesapeake Bay Hyatt. He always worked in customer service where he enjoyed talking to the guest. He was very proud of being an Eagle Scout, Boy Scout Leader, Little League Baseball Coach, he loved swimming, the ocean and family vacations. Music was his passion, and he was always playing music, and singing. Ed attended many concerts. Getting to see a Tom Petty Concert was one of his favorite trips. Ed loved to whistle and could be heard all around the house and at work whistling away. Riding and walking the waterfront of Dorchester County was a daily activity he so enjoyed. Sitting on his deck watching birds in the feeders and in his fountain brought him peace. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, and Cambridge Elks Lodge #1272.
He is survived by his wife Christine Pridgen, two daughters Alison Warfield (Joey) and Lauren Zacharko (Scott), grandchildren Averi Warfield, Nathan Warfield, and Wesley Zacharko, sisters Sharon Bullock, and Stephanie Bloodsworth, in laws, who he considered his brothers and sisters: Deborah Weber, Dinah Christopher, Patty Chance, Bill and Candace Christopher, Michael and Deb Christopher and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bill Christopher, Michael Christopher, Noah Christopher, Seth Christopher, Joey Warfield, Nathan Warfield, Scott Zacharko and Charles Moxey.
