Ellen L. Paul

Ellen L. Paul, 69, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Cambridge on July 15, 1957 and was a daughter of the late Robert Sherwood Wright and Claire Spedden Wright.

Ellen graduated from Cambridge High School class 1975. She worked at the Eastern Shore State Hospital as a LPN for 30 years. Later, she worked for Dr. Lois Narr for 3 years and with the Dorchester County Health Department as a school nurse at Vienna, Warwick and at South Dorchester schools. Ellen enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, skeet shooting, hunting, and fishing. She was a past member of the Cambridge Moose.

She is survived by a brother Alan Wright and wife Becky, two nieces Julie Howard and husband Justin of Cambridge and Jamie Robbins and husband Cody of Salisbury. She is also survived by her pet Rylo.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11am at Spedden Seward Cemetery with Pastor John Long officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
