Gary C. Phillips, Jr.

Gary C. Phillips, Jr., 46, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Easton on July 11, 1977 and was a son of Gary C. Phillips, Sr. and Linda Hart Phillips.

Gary graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School class of 1995. He received his Associate Degree in Liberal Art from Chesapeake College. Gary worked as a bar tender and waiter for several businesses and at the time of his passing he was working at The Kitchen at the Imperial in Chestertown. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, and crabbing.   

He is survived by his parents Gary and Linda Phillips of Cambridge, a sister Lisa Phillips of Cambridge, uncle Gary Hart of Secretary, aunt Mildred Phillips of Cambridge. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Melvin and Hilda Mills Hart and William and Sylvia Collison, parental grandparents James Johnson Phillips and Elizabeth Phillips and uncle James Phillips, Jr. 

 Pallbearers will be Mark Flowers, Dusty Flowers, Bill Tyndall, Scott Dorsey, Richie Bayliss and Glenn Brannock. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Johnson and Larry "Boo" Powley.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 1pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Linkwood Salem Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 66, Linkwood, MD 21835.
