Glen A. Hughes

HUGHES, Glen Alan, 69, of Delmar, DE passed away Wednesday,11 March 2026 at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. Born in Michigan on 12 August 1956, Glen was a 1975 graduate of Kenwood High School in Baltimore County, MD. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, fishing, cooking and spending time with his family.

Glen was the husband of his dearly missed late wife, Shirley Ann Hughes nee Smith, who passed away on August 5, 2016. He was the son of his late parents; Shirley J. Wheeler Hughes and S/Sgt Donald Everett Hughes.

Glen is survived by his loving children; daughter, Jessica Hughes Walker and husband, Joseph Walker, III and grandsons; Joseph IV. and Alexander Walker, daughter Gwendolyn Hughes and his son, Glen ‘Alan’ Hughes, II.

Glen leaves behind his sister, Donna Hughes Ensor and husband, Joseph Ensor and sister-in-law, Sheila Smith Fisher, several nieces and nephews.

Glen is also survived by his faithful Maine Coon cat, Obadiah.

There will be a graveside service and Interment will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Dorchester Memorial Park, 5391 Aireys Rd, Cambridge, Maryland 21613 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
