Helen A (Roe) Cameron

Helen A. Cameron, 72, of Vienna passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.  She was born on August 28, 1945 to the late Herman Roe and Sarah Elizabeth Whitby Roe.

On April 22, 1966, Helen married Byron A. Cameron II.  She loved cooking and taking care of her family.  She also enjoyed going to Ocean City.  Helen was a 50 year member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she also taught Sunday school for many years.  More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her husband Byron A. Cameron II, her son Scott Allen Cameron, Sr. and his wife Kelly, her daughter Mary Beth Linthicum and her husband Jeff, seven grandchildren Hope Meredith, Scott Allen Cameron, Jr., Shayne Cameron, Lauren Cameron, Thorne Cameron, Jenna Linthicum, and Will Linthicum, five great grandchildren, a sister Kathy Green, a brother John Roe, and a step sister Jane Rolfes.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a son Byron A. Cameron III, a step father Frank Middleton, and a brother Danny Roe.

Pallbearers will be Thorne Cameron, Shayne Cameron, Scott Allen Cameron, Jr., Lauren Cameron, Will Linthicum, and Jenna Linthicum.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Linthicum, John Edwards, and Daniel Keene.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 1 pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Major DeRue Hoffman officiating.  Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery.  Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Chicone Ruritan Club, C/O Thomas Miller, P.O.
