Howard R. "Bubby" Creighton

Howard R. “Bubby” Creighton, 80, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Cambridge on February 4, 1943 and was a son of the late Thurman H. Creighton and Dorothea Bradford Pritchett.

He attended schools in South Dorchester High School. Mr. Creighton served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 during Vietnam. On February 17, 1967 he married the former Ovetta Todd. He worked at Western Publishing for 30 plus years. Mr. Creighton enjoyed building model Skipjacks and work boats. He was a member of Open Bible Church.

He is survived by his wife Ovetta Creighton of Cambridge, two sons Wallace Creighton and wife Christy of Hebron and Jason Creighton and his finacee Christina of Cambridge, a granddaughter Taylor Creighton, a sister Linda Insley and husband Robert of Church Creek and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Mr. Creighton is preceded in death by a sister Effie Elzey.

Services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
