Jackie "Jack" T. Seabrease

Jackie “Jack” T. Seabrease passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 20, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, wisdom, laughter, and a life well lived.

Jack dedicated his life to a successful career as a machinist, taking pride in his work and the skills he mastered over the years. Most recently, he retired from the University of Maryland Horn Point Laboratory, where his dedication and strong work ethic were evident to all who knew him. Along with his dedicated career he spent a lifetime volunteering with the Cambridge Ruritan club.

Jack was a friend to many and known by all. His outgoing personality and gift for conversation made him impossible to forget. In his later years, he enjoyed a booming social calendar and cherished the friendships he built throughout his life. Most evenings, you could find him enjoying time at the American Legion or the VFW, where laughter, stories, and camaraderie were never in short supply.

A man of many talents and endless wisdom, Jack had a way of knowing how to fix just about anything—without needing to “Google it.” He possessed the kind of knowledge and common sense that only comes from a life fully lived. He could take you across the country without a map, relying on memory and experience rather than directions. He was the kind of man people turned to for help, advice, and answers.

Jack is survived by his two sons, Danny Seabrease and Timmy (Laura) Seabrease; his four granddaughters, Nicole Haley Seabrease, Brooke (Caleb) Thomas, Chrissy Seabrease, and Courtney Willey; and his great-granddaughter, Alexus Hackley, whom he raised as his own, along with six other beloved great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of nearly 60 years, Suzanne (Haley) Seabrease.

Jack’s family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with Sue, taking their final cruise, and that’s he is at peace. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched, the stories he shared, and the lessons he passed on.

May we remember Jack for his kindness, his wisdom, his humor, and the countless memories he created with those who loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
