James C. "PeeWee" Burton

James C. “PeeWee” Burton, 68, of Hurlock passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born in Cambridge on January 7, 1957 and was a son of the late Phillip H. Burton, Sr. and Sadie Saunders Burton.

PeeWee attended schools in Dorchester County. He worked for Ed Powell for 40 years.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Sharon “Sophie” Tull of Hurlock, Wanda Burton of Hurlock, Patsy Era and husband Butch of North Dakota, Jimmy "Sarge" Saunders of East New Market, his twin Phillip "Pedro" Burton Jr. and wife Cindy of Rhodesdale, and Roland Burton and wife Carol of Hurlock, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents PeeWee is preceded in death by a sister Joann Burton.

Per PeeWee’s request services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children Cancer Research.
