James "Jim" W. Slacum

James “Jim” Wilby Slacum III, age 82, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Mr. Slacum was preceded in death by his parents, James Wilby Slacum Jr. and Jean Slacum; and a daughter, Rhonda Amendt.

He is survived by his wife, Constance “Connie” Carmichael Slacum of the home; daughter, Theresa “Terry” Ann Johnson and husband Dave of Delmar, MD; son, James “Jay” Wilby Slacum IV of Sumter, SC; sister, Phyllis Anne Kramer of Pembrooke Pines, FL; son-in-law Scott Amendt and wife, Stormi of Farmville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 12pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, MD. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
