Janice N. Webster, 98, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Ranson, WV on March 27, 1928 and was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Virginia Burner Nicewarner.
On May 30, 1948, she married Calvin Henry Webster who passed away on March 30, 2006. For most of her life she was a house wife. Later, she became a licensed realtor. Mrs. Webster enjoyed sewing, gardening and sitting on the porch. She volunteered her time at the Robin Hood Shop and Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, past member of the Dorchester Garden Club and the Neck District Fire Company. Family would like to thank her caregivers Beth Ann Bomberger, Tammy Brooks and numerous past caregivers.
She is survived by two sons Donald W. Webster of Cambridge and Steven M. Webster and wife Lisa of Cambridge, three granddaughters Kimberly Webster, Kelly Dodson and husband Josh and Steffi Webster and fiancée Caleb Ruark, four great grandchildren Mya Webster, Layla Webster, Owen Dodson and Ella Dodson. She is also survived by her special lab friend Grace. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Webster is preceded in death by a son Gary Webster, granddaughter Karey Webster, daughter in law Ann Webster and several brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Josh Dodson, Owen Dodson, Caleb Ruark, Timmy Marshall, David Marshall, and David Nicewarner.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 1pm at Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Missy Rekitzke officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one our prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Zion United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, 612 Locust Street, Cambridge, MD 21613. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
