John Lee Gray, Jr.

John Lee Gray, Jr., 57, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at UMSMC at Easton. He was born in Germany on September 24, 1968 to the late John L. Gray, Sr. and Lillie Thomas Gray.

John attended schools in Cambridge. He was employed at D.S. Smith. John enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club. He was also a 25 year member of Lloyds Fire Company and Church Creek Fire Company.

He is survived by a son Joseph Gray and wife Taylor of Elliott Island and a daughter Angelica Gray, five grandchildren Avery, JJ, Spencer, Cam, and Sienna, a brother William Gray (Marie) of Winooski, VT, a sister Tammy Sue Gray of Cambridge, a brother Michael Wingate (Stephanie) of Chestertown and a sister Kathy Wingate (Willie) of Cambridge, a sister Shelly Tinsley of Max Meadows, VA and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Gray, Billy Gray, Mike Wingate, Norman Wingate, Joe M. Gray and Mckinley Potter, Jr.

A fireman's funeral will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 12pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Gary Hickman officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to your local fire department.
