John Robert McClintock, 73, passed away December 28, 2025, at UMSMC at Easton, Maryland.
Born in Berwick, PA on July 11, 1952, John was the son of Robert Dale McClintock and Anita Remley McClintock. John graduated from Berwick High School, Class of 1970, and Wilkes-Barre Business College. He lived in Ashley, PA for several years, and was a member of the Ashley Volunteer Fire Department. He was employed by King Fifth Wheel in Mountain Top, PA. John later returned to his family home in Berwick, PA where he lived and worked for the Autoneum Automotive North America (formerly Magee Reiter) in Bloomsburg, PA until his retirement.
John enjoyed trout fishing, trout stocking, hunting at “Camp Lebo”, Yankees baseball, Giants football and Penn State football. He was a high school football referee for many years, where he earned the nickname “The General”. But John’s greatest joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Donna Buck and brother-in-law Carl Buck.
John will be greatly missed by his loving children and grandchildren: daughter Melissa McClintock Turner and husband William Turner of Cambridge, MD; son Michael McClintock and wife Laura McClintock of Salisbury, MD; grandchildren: Brendan McClintock, Justin Turner, Owen Turner, Camryn Turner, Jennifer McClintock and Joshua McClintock.
Per John’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.
