John W. Owens

John W. Owens, 89, of Lake Helen, FL passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024 at his home. He was born in Sharptown, MD on September 28, 1934 and was a son of the late Hobart and Elsie Owens.

Mr. Owens attended school in Sharptown. He was married to the former late Irene Gladden, who passed away on June 15, 2017. Mr. Owens worked at Cambridge Wire Cloth and later at Charles E. Brohawn and Son where he retired. He enjoyed building antique cars and doing odds and ends. Mr. Owens was a member of the Cambridge Moose Lodge.

He is survived by two children Rose Foxwell and husband Robert of Hurlock and John D. Owens of Cambridge, two grandchildren Jason Foxwell and Shannon Ambrus, three great grandchildren Lia Ambrus, Macy Foxwell and Maddie Foxwell.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 1pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Randall T. Blackmon officiating.
