John E. "Jack" Groff III

John E. “Jack” Groff III went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2023.  He was born September 10, 1930 in Aireys, Maryland. He joined the Air Force when the Korean War was started. He was the flight engineer on a B29 and left the Service in August 12, 1952 and was Honorable Discharged as a Staff Sargent.

He leaves behind his wife of 15 years Carol Lien, sons James Radcliff Groff and Christian Groff, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He lived in Tehachapi, CA on twenty three acres that he worked every day on his tractor until he moved with his wife to Louisiana where he had 3 acres to take care of and worked it until he got sick.  But the tractor is still being worked by his son James in California on his 3 acres.

His favorite saying was IS THAT RIGHT?  His favorite thing to do besides riding the tractor, were music and dancing and swimming. He would try to call at least one class mate a month. He loved life, his children, his wife dearly and the grandbaby's.

On June 21 2022 one year before the Lord took Jack home he accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savior and now we all know that he is in Heaven with the Lord Jesus and we will see him again.
