Karen Louise (Delaha) Abbott

Karen L. Abbott, 71, of Linkwood passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at UMSMC at Dorchester with her family by her side. She was born in Honga on November 8, 1946 and was a daughter of the late James Franklin Delaha and Margie Louise Jenkins Delaha.

Mrs. Abbott attended schools in South Dorchester. She was a bar tender and waitress for several restaurants in Cambridge. On October 2, 1988, she married Steven W. Abbott. Mrs. Abbott loved spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Cambridge.

She is survived by her husband Steve Abbott of Linkwood, a daughter Kimberly Dawn Yaap and husband Stewart of Cambridge, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Mrs. Abbott is preceded in death by a son Kris Elzey.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 3 pm at Faith Baptist Church in Cambridge with Rev. Randall T. Blackmon officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
