Lind L. Dean

Lind L. Dean, 84, of Fishing Creek passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at UMSMC at Easton. She was born October 25, 1940 to the late Harry Lee and Emma Strickland Lee.

Mrs. Dean graduated from South Dorchester High School. She worked on the water with her husband before going back to college at Salisbury State to get her Master's Degree in Education. She taught the longest at Maple Elementary School. On September 9, 1962, Mrs. Dean married the late Luther Ray Dean who passed away on July 5, 2010. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Mrs. Dean was a member of Hosier United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Dean is survived by a daughter Miranda LeCompte and husband Sam of Hoopers Island, son Christopher Dean and wife Mimi of Salisbury, four grandsons Sam W. LeCompte IV and wife Jessica of Pennsylvania, Matthew LeCompte and wife Chelcie of Secretary, Logan LeCompte and wife Emily of Easton, and Luke Dean of Salisbury, seven great grandchildren, four sisters and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Dean is preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Per Mrs. Dean’s wishes a private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice. Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
