Linda J. Wright, 78, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at UMSMC at Easton. She was born in Cambridge on November 19, 1947, and was the daughter of the late John Melvin Jones and Mary Willey Todd.
Linda graduated from Cambridge High School with the Class of 1965. On March 8, 1969, she married the love of her life, George W. Wright, Jr., with whom she shared many devoted years of marriage.
A talented and dedicated beautician, Linda began her career working alongside her mother at Mary’s Beauty Salon. She later fulfilled her dream of owning her own business, Linda Wright’s Touch, where she served her community with pride and care for over four decades before retiring after 46 years in the profession.
Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved golfing, fishing, solving Sudoku puzzles, playing dominoes, and spending time at the beach. She was a faithful member of St. Mary Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church and a former member of the Cambridge Country Club.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, George W. Wright, Jr. of Cambridge; her two sons, George W. “G.W.” Wright III and his spouse Brad Linton of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Jonathan Wright and his wife Erica of Cambridge; her cherished grandsons, Ethan and Cooper Wright; her brother, Dennis Jones of Cambridge; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Stelzner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary, Refuge of Sinners Catholic Church in Cambridge, with Father Tim Kzuthaupt officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining churchyard. Pallbearers will be Scott Jones, Cullen Davis, Robbie Hanson, Scott Hanson, David Sabin and Ryan Turner.
