Linda M. Dukes

Linda Marshall Dukes, 76, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 11, 2026. Born on March 23, 1950, in Cambridge, Maryland, Linda was the daughter of the late Louis “Turk” Marshall of Cambridge, MD, and the late Marian “Brownie” Pritchett Marshall of Bishops Head, MD. A proud graduate of Cambridge High School’s Class of 1968, Linda remained deeply connected to her friends from her school years throughout her life. Like her father, Linda dedicated 40 years to helping others as a dedicated tax preparer.

Linda was known for her unwavering devotion to her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Howard R. “Ronnie” Dukes; her sons Artie, Ricky and his wife Jessica, and Brian and his wife Robin. She was a cherished grandmother to Tyler, Nathan, Amber, Logan, Madison, Sutton, Lacey, Carter, and Bailey Dukes, each who brought immense joy to her life.

Linda will be remembered as a proud Dorchester County native who dedicated her life to her family, especially her grandchildren. Whether attending family gatherings, sharing stories, or offering support and encouragement, she found happiness in the company of those she loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends who were blessed to have known her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life and honor the legacy of love and dedication. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 4pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
