Loretta L. Trefs, 90, of Easton passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 24, 2026 at Talbot Hospice House. She was born on March 5, 1936 to the late Samuel W. Flinn and Henrietta E. Daley Flinn.
Mrs. Trefs graduated from Glassboro High School in New Jersey class of 1954. She then attended West Jersey Hospital School of Nursing and graduated class of 1957. Mrs. Trefs was a proud Registered Nurse for 58 years throughout New Jersey and Maryland, with a particular love for obstetrics.
More than anything Mrs. Trefs cherished her relationship with her late husband Frank "Tiny" Trefs, whom she married on September 7, 1957. They enjoyed trips with their family and spent their later years as Mr. & Mrs. Santa Clause, spreading holiday cheer to children. Following his passing on February 9, 2006 Mrs. Trefs always knew she would meet Tiny again in Heaven, and their bond would be as strong as it was on Earth.
Mrs. Trefs enjoyed painting, gardening, cozy video games, and making cards for friends and loved ones. She was also a very active community member in St Marks Village in Easton and loved playing cards with her friends there. Mrs. Trefs was a dog lover with a fondness for Miniature Schnauzers, of which she had several over the years. A servant of the Lord, her faith carried her through her whole life.
Mrs. Trefs will be missed by her three children; Frank "Butch" Trefs, Linda Price and Tina Pritchett along with her grandchildren, including her beloved granddaughter Meg and husband Billy.
Per the family’s wishes a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Talbot Hospice House, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD 21601.
