Lori Ann Holliday, 62, of East New Market, MD passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She was born in Cambridge on December 28, 1963 and was a daughter of the late Lawrence Blake Adshead and Elsie Kay Baumgartner Adshead.
Lori graduated from North Dorchester High School class of 1981 and graduated from Annapolis Beauty Academy in 1982. On May 4, 1991, she married John Holliday. She was the owner of Lori’s Scissor’s and Such in East New Market since 1988 and retiring after 40 years. She enjoyed the beach and the ocean, nature and all its wonders, but most of all, her greatest gift was time spent with her husband, and her children and grandchildren. Her faith, family and friends, were her most valued, cherished and fulfilling parts of her life. She wants all to know, she looked forward to being in the presence of the Lord and for all to make a plan to join her In God's Glory. Lori was a member of Sunnyside Alliance Church.
Lori is survived by her husband John Wayne Holliday of East New Market, four children John Blake Holliday and his wife Lindsay and their daughter Blakely Ann Holliday of East New Market, and Kayla Ann Angeli and her husband Robert and their son Paxton John Angeli of East New Market, Erin Holliday of East New Market and Krista Morrow and husband Chuck of St. Augustine, FL, a sister Susan L. Andrews and her husband Ronnie of Hurlock, two nephews Graham Andrews and Chase Andrews and wife Shelby and their son Casey.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11am at Sunnyside Alliance Church in Secretary with Pastor Paul Karus and Mr. JR Thorpe officiating. Private interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sunnyside Alliance Church, 6010 Sunnyside Court, East New Market, MD 21631 or charity of one's choice. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
