Manie M. Bechtel

Manie M. Bechtel, 74, of Trappe passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. She was born on March 9, 1952 and was a daughter of the late Jesse M. and Manie Andrews Bechtel.

Mrs. Bechel attended and graduated school from Easton. She was owner of a housekeeping business. Mrs. Bechtel enjoyed collecting coins, stamps, doll’s and loved with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters Caroline Greenwood of Denton and Amy Bechtel of Trappe, a son Nicholas Bechtel of Easton, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, four sisters Addie Bechtel of Allentown, PA, Barbara Wood of Delaware, Helen Teets of Easton and Kathryn Phillips of Seaford, two brothers John Bechtel of Church Creek and Patrick Bechtel of Bethlehem and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Mrs. Bechtel is preceded in death by two brothers James A. Bechtel and Erden Bechtel and a granddaughter Avery Bechtel, a daughter Angela Bechtel and a sister Jessie Rinehart and sister in law Betty Bechtel.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11am at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Pastor Derwin Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
