Margaret Virginia Lee (Mundy) Robinson, 89, of Cambridge, Maryland, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Resorts at Chester River Manor. Margaret was born to the late Lucy L. Mundy and Earlie J. Mundy on July 31, 1933 in Newberry, SC. She was married to the late Wilby H. Robinson Jr., of Cambridge, in 1950. She is predeceased by 6 siblings, Louise (Mundy) Daughrity, James Mundy, George Mundy, Talmadge Mundy, Thomas Mundy, and Robert Mundy. She is survived by her sister, Betty (Mundy) Walker, her sons, Wilby (Harold) Robinson IV, Mark F. Robinson, David A. Robinson Sr., her daughter, Priscilla L. (Robinson) Hernandez, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Margaret lived her life through some of the most arduous times in our country with an indomitable spirit, fiercely loving her family. Her friends and family remember her as the steadfast support when times were tough, encouraging them to face their struggles with resilience and determination. She took the utmost pride in being a mother and creating a home comfortable for her children, claiming horticulture as her most fervent hobby and creating beautiful gardens at her home in Cambridge. Margaret was the linchpin to her family’s legacy, reveling in her role as the materfamilias and raconteur. Her stories would inspire friends and family, namely her grandchildren, to become the same independent, spirited, thick-skinned and well-natured people that she once was. Her commitment to her family lives on in legacy through grandchildren and great grandchildren to come, setting forth the precedence of unfaltering love, independence, and grit.
