Cambridge

Mary Kathryn Coleman, 70, of Cambridge, Maryland, passed away on July 24, 2021 at her home.  She was born in Springdale, Arkansas on December 1, 1950 to the late William Toney Long and Edith Bilderback Long.

Mary worked for many years with Tyson, as well as a caretaker for many years.  She was always a social butterfly, and had a special talent for making friends wherever she went.  She had a caring, nurturing spirit, which showed every time she would cook a meal for her friends and neighbors.  Mary was an avid reader, loving to read her Bible, as well as any western.  She was passionate about her gardening, as well, which she passed on to her grandchildren.  Mary was also very creative, and she thrived when quilting, singing in the choir, and square dancing.

Mary is survived by three daughters, Tina Machelle Bausinger and her husband Melvin Lee of San Antonio, TX, Sherry Carr and her husband Ronald Craig of Arkansas, and Crystal Gail Anders and her husband Andrew Michael of Greensboro, MD; five grandchildren Jordanne Bausinger, Sarah Jamison, Nathan Bausinger, Elizabeth Grace Anders, and Kathryn Jane Anders; three siblings Dorothy “Sue” Griffith, Mollie Hignite, and David Long; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Besides her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her siblings Dennis Long, Janice Diaz, Richard Long, Scott Long, Polly Green, and Rhonda Hignite.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date in Springdale, Arkansas.  Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge, MD.
