Mary Ann Amick Massey

Mary Ann Amick Massey, 73, of Hurlock passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on October 23, 2008. She was born in Louisa, VA to her late parents James and Lula Amick.

Mrs. Massey was raised in Washington, DC where she met her husband of 53 years. Mrs. Massey devoted her life to God and family. She worked by her husband's side in the ministry where she enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She was devoted to raising her children and enjoyed the grandchildren and great- grandchildren even more.

She is survived by her husband Rev. Lloyd G. Massey, Sr.; her children Lloyd Massey, Jr. and his wife Peggy, Kenneth Massey and his wife Samantha, Shawn Harper and her husband Bill and Steve Massey and wife Sherri, her much loved grandchildren Andrea, Brianna, Matt, Lloyd, Mary, Stefany, Will, Kendal and Marshall, her great-grandchildren Alyvia, Lillian and Julena, a sister Josephine Spaur and her husband Ernest and two brothers James H. Amick, Jr. and wife Katie; Charles Amick and his wife Janet.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. at The First Wesleyan Church of Easton at 620 Goldsborough Road, Easton, MD with Rev. Robert Hawkins officiating. Interment will be held at the Maryland Veteran's Cemetery near Hurlock at a later time. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge, MD.
