Milford W. “Bunky” Elliott III, 71, of Linkwood passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at UMSMC at Dorchester. He was born in Cambridge on April 21, 1949 and was a son of the late Milford W. Elliott, Jr. and Emma F. “Sis” Horner Elliott.
Mr. Elliott graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1967. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal w/v Device, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device and Combat Infantryman Badge. Mr. Elliott worked on the water with his father and later at Webcraft in Salisbury. He also worked for a few years at Airpax. Mr. Elliott enjoyed feeding the homeless cats on Henry Street, gardening, watching old Westerns and was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan. He was a member of the American Legion Post 91.
He is survived by his wife Paula Elliott of Cambridge, two children Kathy Jo Elliott of Cambridge and Christopher Elliott and wife Jennifer of Cambridge, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four stepchildren and 12 step grandchildren, a sister Karen Stack and husband Calvin of Cambridge, a nephew Steve Stack and wife Barbara of Church Creek and two great nephews Stephen Stack and Trevor Stack.
Pallbearers will be Steve Stack, Stephen Stack, Trevor Stack, Brian Harris, Billy Harris and Brett Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Elliott and Calvin Stack.
A walk through visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 11 to 12 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge. A private interment will take place at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613. Face mask and social distancing is required.
