Nellie J. Wheedleton

Nellie J. Wheedleton, 88, of Cambridge passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at her home. She was born in Cambridge on March 9, 1937 and was a daughter of the late Raymond C. and Agnes Paul Holley.

She graduated from Cambridge High School class of 1955. Mrs. Wheedleton served in the U.S. Air Force. On June 21, 1963, she married Franklin R. Wheedleton, who passed away on January 7, 2015. She worked for several sewing factories in the Cambridge Area. Mrs. Wheedleton enjoyed reading and watch old Westerns.

She is survived by two daughters Betty Wells and husband Bruce of Ocala, FL and Cheryl Lyons of New Castle, DE, a grandson Christopher Lyons and his daughter Kira Lyons, and several nieces and nephews. Beside her parents and her husband, Mrs. Wheedleton is preceded in death by two sisters Irene Keene and Helen Dail, four brothers Randall, Charles, Howard and Irving Holley and a great grandson C.J. Lyons.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 1pm at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery.
