Opal A. (Hatcher) Slacum

Opal A. Slacum, 93, of Cambridge passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born on August 25, 1926 in Oklahoma and was a daughter of the late Lon and Arvilla Hunter Hatcher.

She is survived by a granddaughter Debra Reaves of South Carolina, a brother Robert Hatcher of Oklahoma, two nephews Robert and Darryl Hatcher and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ms. Slacum is preceded in death by a son John Calvin Slacum.

Per Ms. Slacum’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
