Patricia "Patsy" M. Coppage

Patricia “Patsy” M. Coppage, 91, of Secretary passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Autumn Lake at Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge. She was born in Secretary on October 5, 1934 and was a daughter of the late James Wilbert Lauck, Sr. and Rosalee Willoughby Lauck.

She attended schools in Secretary and East New Market. On March 8, 1957, she married Howard Coppage who passed away on August 22, 1994. Mrs. Coppage worked for the Dorchester County Public Schools as a teacher’s aide for 23 1/2 years. She enjoyed going to the Casinos. Mrs. Coppage was a member of God's Way Fellowship and also attended Chateau Church.

She is survived by a daughter Susan Kirwan and husband Henry of Secretary, a granddaughter Casey Kirwan of Secretary, foster daughter Pam Paul and her daughter Tonya Paul, siblings Loboy Lauck, Bill Hanks Lauck, Helen Ruth Tyler, Lily Jane Wooten and Edie Finck and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Coppage is preceded in death by her brothers Al Lauck, Mickey Lauck and James Wayne “Dugar” Lauck, Sr. and Chester Lauck.

Pallbearers will be Ayden Sparks, Sonny Maddox, Lane Abey, Landon Abey, Jimmy Lauck and Mark Pritchett.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 1pm at God’s Way Fellowship in Secretary with Rev. Dennis Gilliard officiating. Interment will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to God’s Way Fellowship, P.O. Box 94, Secretary, MD 21664, Baywater Animal Rescue, 4930 Bucktown Road, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to Secretary Fire Company, P.O. Box 56, Secretary, MD 21664. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
