Peggy J. Bradford, 90, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026 at her home. She was born in Bishops Head, MD on November 6, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Theodosia Robinson.
Mrs. Bradford attended schools in Crapo. On March 14, 1953, she married Bradley Kenneth Bradford who passed away on November 16, 2012. In the late 1960's, she began working at several crab houses, and went on to spend more than 40 years cracking claws. She enjoyed playing Bingo, going out to the Cambridge Diner with her friends and loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Bradford was a member of the Eastern Star in Cambridge and later in Sharptown. She also attended Open Bible Church.
She is survived by two sons Randy L. Bradford and wife Linda of Cambridge and Dennis Ray Bradford and wife Kathi of Cambridge, three grandchildren Jordan K. Bradford of Cambridge, Sarah Robinson and husband Scott of Cambridge and Kenneth Bradford of Cambridge, five great grandchildren Jackson, Jules, Scott, Carolyn and Bradley and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Bradford is preceded in death by a granddaughter Mary Katherine Bradford, and a brother Samuel Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Bradford, Randy Cartwright, Tony Hayden, Roger Morris, Tommy Robinson, and Timmy Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Bradford, Dwane Paul and Gary Newcomb.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 1pm at Open Bible Church in Cambridge with Rev. Steve Bloodsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Open Bible Church, 1619 Race Street, Cambridge, MD 21613 or to St. John’s Methodist Church, P.O. Box 135, Church Creek, MD 21622. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
