Peggy Lee Anderson, beloved wife, mother, mom mom, and friend passed away peacefully on Christmas morning, December 25th, 2024 in her home in Florida. Peggy (73) of Cambridge, Maryland was born on the 14th of April 1951.

She is survived by her husband, James Thomas Anderson, children, Darren Anderson (Kelly), Christina (Chrissy) Cox (David), and Michelle Smith (Shaun), grandchildren, Alex Taylor, Matthew Cox, Dylan Anderson, Ella Cox, Natalie Anderson, Harleigh Anderson, Ethan Anderson, Derek Anderson, Maggie Anderson, and Aden Anderson, and lifelong friend Wanda Robinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Naomi Short, sister, Judy Cannon, and dear friend Karen Brittingham.Peggy worked at Cambridge-South Dorchester High School in the cafeteria and volunteered countless hours at Maple Elementary School. She enjoyed sewing, volunteering at The Robin Hood Shop, and spending quality time with her family. Peggy will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She often dedicated her creative talents and time to make gifts for veterans and the elderly in nursing homes.

A service celebrating Peggy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at Thomas Funeral Home in Cambridge, Maryland. Visitation will begin at 10:00, with the service to follow at 11:00, and a private family dinner after.

As a testament of her generous spirit, the family invites those wishing to honor Peggy’s memory through acts of kindness. Any flowers or contributions may be made to local schools, nursing homes, or the American Legion Post 91- places close to Peggy’s heart.
