Peggy R. (Parks) Stewart

Peggy R. Stewart, 80, of Seaford, DE passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at her home. She was born in Wingate on November 13, 1938 and was a daughter of the late Asbury G. and Rosalie Willey Parks.

Mrs. Stewart attended South Dorchester High School. On November 2, 1985, she married Franklin D. Stewart, Sr., who passed away on October 27, 2002. She worked on the water with her husband Frank and enjoyed going to the clubs listening to Country Music Bands. Mrs. Stewart was a member of AMVETS.

She is survived by her children Vicky Fuller and husband Chip of Seaford, DE, Carol Jean Lake and husband Bill of Cambridge, a son Marvin D. "Danny" Richardson of Seaford, DE, three grandchildren Amy Swafford of Conway, SC, Jamie Richardson of Bishops Head and Franklin DeWayne Stewart III, two great granddaughters Jessica Strickland and Tayler Marie Tayler, one great-great granddaughter Nevaeh Taylor, a step son Franklin DeWayne Stewart II, a brother Gene Parks and wife Barbara of Hurlock, a daughter in law Brenda Stewart and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Richardson and a sister Dorothy Gray and two brothers Curtis Parks and Asbury Parks.

Family will receive friends from 11 to 12 at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. A graveside service will follow at 1 pm at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev. Michael LaClair officiating.
