Richard George Schnoor

Richard George Schnoor, 81, of Ridgely passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at his home. He was born in Cambridge on October 28, 1944 and was a son of the late Richard and Clara Emma Malkus Schnoor.

Mr. Schnoor graduated from Easton High School class of 1962. He was a lifelong farmer. Mr. Schnoor enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the Tri County Ruritan, and MD State Farm Bureau, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank his caregiver Katie Mills.

He is survived by a grandson Thomas Jones, good friend Diana Hurd and her daughter Amber Skivers, two granddaughters Ava and Ellie, stepsons Mark Connolly (Carol) and Curt Connolly and grandson Owen. Besides his parents, Mr. Schnoor is preceded in death by a daughter Cynthia Jones and a brother Paul Schnoor.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 12pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 12095 Blades Road, Cordova, MD 21625 with Rev. Michael Valliant officiating. Interment will follow at the adjoining churchyard. Family will receive friends from 10am to 12pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 364, Cordova, MD 21625. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
