Sarah E. Brooks

Sarah E. Brooks, 88, of Cambridge passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Autumn Lake Chesapeake Woods. She was born in Cambridge on February 11, 1937 and was a daughter of the late Albert and Dora Parks.

She attended schools in Wingate. On March 8, 1977, she married Philip Brooks, Sr., who passed away on April 9, 2018. Mrs. Brooks worked at Airpax with 25 years of service. She enjoyed puzzles books and going shopping.

She is survived by three children Michael Wingate of Cambridge, Juanita Townsend and husband Calvert of Linkwood, Wendy Schasel, two step sons Philip Brooks, Jr. and wife Vicki of East New Market and Robert Brooks of Secretary, five grandchildren Terry Wilcut, Jr., Tabatha Elzey, Katelyn Brooks, Robert Brooks, Jr., and Kyle Brooks, five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, a sister Rose Ruark of Church Creek and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, Mrs. Brooks is preceded in death by two sisters Carolyn Webb and Rebecca Foxwell.

Per Mrs. Brooks request there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
