Shirley Dail, 85, formerly of Cambridge, MD passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at home in Picayune, MS with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 14, 1940 in Wellingborough Northhampshire England.
Mrs. Dail attended schools in England. On December 23, 1961, she married Samuel James Dail, Jr. who passed away on December 21, 2005. Shirley worked for several florist in Cambridge, Sheets Flower Shop, Benedict's and Florals Unique. She enjoyed knitting, puzzles, gardening, following #19 in NASCAR, proudly knitting hats for the tiny babies in the NICU at Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a daughter Sharon Bull and husband Curtis of Picayune, MS, two grandchildren Erich Bull, wife Amy, and Jaime Bull, husband Jaime Marine, great grandchildren Ava Mae Bull, Theodore James Bull, Spencer Loren Bull, Jeanette Rose Bull, Camryn Sophia Bull, Aracelis Victoria Bull, twins Daniel James Bull, Jr., Brooklyn Munroe Bull, John Timothy Moore III. Nieces Janet Biskach Forrest and husband Randy of Salisbury, Donna Abbott of Cambridge, and nephew Jeffrey Biskach and wife Sandy of Hurlock, MD., a brother Terry Bonsor of England. Besides her husband, Mrs. Dail is preceded in death by a grandson Daniel James Bull and a son Stephen Blair Dail.
Pallbearers will be Erich Bull, Randy Forrest, Jeffery Biskach, Bobby Thomas, Jaime Marine and Ricky Mooney.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 12:30pm at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Rev. Susan Leight officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 11:30AM to 12:30PM. Memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
