Susan B. Dickinson

Susan B. Dickinson, 75, of East New Market passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at her home. She was born in Cambridge on May 3, 1950 and was a daughter of the late Lee A. “Bummy” Brohawn and Florence “Flossie” Willey Brohawn.

Susan graduated from Cambridge High School Class of 1968. In 1972, she graduated from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) in Wilson, NC. On September 29, 1972, she married Michael M. Dickinson. Susan and her husband Michael own Dickinson Properties LLC where she enjoyed buying and renovating properties. She also was a homemaker where she enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, and gardening. Susan also volunteered at the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her husband Michael Dickinson of East New Market, two daughters Kathryn “Katie” Dickinson of Glen Rock, PA and Lisa Dickinson of East New Market, a sister Terry Robbins and husband Mark of Rhodesdale and a nephew Brett Dean. Besides her parents, Mrs. Dickinson is preceded in death by a sister Mary Ann Hurley.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 10am at Dorchester Memorial Park with Rev.’s Steve Bloodworth and Chris Pettit officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
